Designed by Ingrid Bjernefors Dahlman for Niab. This set comes with extra threads, limited to five kits, as sold at recent shows.
The set includes:
Unbleached linen ca 45x45cm with 1960’s screenprint (permanent print, it does not wash off)
Two stitch cards: one card showing the 24 common stitches used in Nordiska’s embroidery, and one card with an image of the original 60’s drawing with history and instructions translated into English.
1960’s linen threads x 3 skeins, all stranded Nordiska linen
A hank of pre-cut contemporary linen threads.
Currently we don’t have a sample of the original piece which was a cushion embroidered with linen on wool, but a new sample is being worked on and will be shown here as soon as it is finished.
The stitches used in this kit are:
satin stitch, y-stitch, split stitch, stem stitch,
laisy-daisy stitch, flat stitch and French knots.
