Treasure box #18 from the Rosa series includes:
Vintage linen threads in 5 skeins, three different weights, just over 130 meter.
Two long skeins of very rare Nordiska lace making linen thread, smooth and even made with the longest flax fibres. We believe this linen was grown in Belgium, retted in the river Lys and spun nearby. It was most likely dyed in Sweden.
This thread is not so easily found anymore, it was a very lucky find this month.
Each of these skeins are just under 50 meter long, so you will get near a 100 meter in this one box.
The other skeins are:
Linen embroidery thread from Nordiska, 1960's, 14 meter
Hemstitch yarn, Nordiska, 4-stranded linen. This skein is 10 meter as it is, or 40 meter if stranded to it's thinnest.
There are hundreds of threads pre-cut into 1m lengths (or longer)
A large spool of late 1800's machine silk found in a Copenhagen haberdashery.
Vintage Gutermann silk on a paper spool, 10 meter 30/3
Antique art silk on a card, with two chenille needles
A layer of vintage and contemporary cotton embroidery threads, 5 skeins
Antique paisa needles
Antique press studs from a Copenhagen haberdashery
Linen fabric scrap (larger than the box)
An unusual 1960's box from Nordiska, the box the lace making thread came in.
There are 4 sets available of this version, and the Gutermann silk has slightly different soft pink/peach shades in each box.
