End of stock items, December moving sale.
Leaves from the late 1960's is a favourite pattern from Nordiska of Gothenburg, and we hope to republish this in the future with the complete instructions. So far, these have not been found, but we will keep looking or try to recreate them in the future.
Here are the last few prints available, at a discounted price for our moving sale!
- Linen, 100% hand printed in Sweden, not far from the old linen factory where the Nordiska patterns were found. All fabric is hand cut to approximately 50 x 50 cm and may vary slightly. The design itself is 23 x 26 cm.
The lines from the screenprint does not wash off, and is most suitable for a thread like linen to cover the coloured lines.
- Two cards are also included: one of the cards with a photograph showing part of the 1960's artwork made prior to production of the kits, a brief history of its origins, and an English translation of the three simple stitches used:
chain stitch - stem stitch - split stitch
Leaves 6193 will need improvisation with colours and stitches. The card which shows the 60's pattern drawing notes each colour as number 1- 4, the amount of colours that were used in the kit.
You can also see drawings of the stitches as an indication where to add them, using the bright and softer shades on the card as a guide.
The other card shows the 24 common stitches used by Nordiska in their kits, a handy card to keep in front of you as you embroider.
